I recommend you backup your favorites.

Then attempt a hard reset.

Finally, replace the firmware and system software using webupdate.
Replacing the system software will most likely correct the malfunctioning keying of letters.

I hope that helps.

You need to recalibrate your touchscreen. If the screen can not be recalibrated, then it needs to be replaced. Please see this link on how to recalibrate your touchscreen:

The screen touch point needs calibrated. If I touch a letter, it activates the letter to the left, etc.

Please see the calibration procedure here:

http://www.sharc.net/discus/messages/6/77.html?1286154637

Please note that if you have to keep recalibrating the touchscreen, then that means it is drifting and needs to be replaced. More info on that here:

Touch screen not working

Try recalibrating the touch feature. Touch screen devices need to be recalibrated ever so often. The more it is used, the more often recalibration should be done. I recalibrate my LG VU once a week. Hope this helps.

I'm getting inaccurate letter entry on the letters I type. For example, when I type a B an M appears - I'm noticing it on the bottom row of letters at this time. Solution?

Are you sure you pressed the correct location on your screen???
If so, you may need to calibrate the screen.
Do this:
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} To recalibrate the touchscreen on your nuvi 200 series follow the steps below:

  2. Slide the power switch to the ON position and hold for about 45 seconds.
  3. A message will display on the screen: Press Dot.
