Make sure that all your bluetooth drivers is installed. you can do two way test. first is, have you laptop detect any bluetooth device that you have there e.g cellphone. if laptop was able to detect your cellphone then theres is no problem with your laptop. second is, let your bluetooth cellphone detect your bluetooth laptop. if cellphone was unable to detect your bluetooth laptop then we have issue here on your laptop.

You will probably have to look on the net for a driver that is compatible with windows 7 for your bluetooth device. If you cant find one designed for windows 7 you could try a driver made for vista as many vista drivers work for windows 7 devices as well

Hi,

If that's an Inbuilt Bluetooth, Software is not needed until and unless you have deleted that software.

USB bluetooth or Bluetooth Dongle is required when you do not have bluetooth option in your notebook.

It's not working means - You have lost this feature . You need to purchase a Bluetooth device and you would get a CD alongwith it for software.

Kindly make sure with the tech - Is that the software has been lost or Bluetooth Hardware is at FAULT.

Aspire 4720z bluetooth not at all working? extra drivers required?

The 4720Z does NOT come with a Bluetooth module, it does come with internal Bluetooth support, which is why there is a button and an LED with the Bluetooth logo.

To enable it, you must first install the internal Bluetooth module, which you can get from eBay:
http://stores.ebay.com/Oldegg-Wireless-Depot

Click (on the left) Bluetooth Adapter -> 5-pin. The instructions for installing it can be found here:

I have done this to my Aspire 4720Z, and it works wonderfully.
