2 yr old GE Profile with ice maker. Gone for 3 months. Didn't make any adjustments to appliance before we left. Got home, only a couple of withered cubes in tray. Motor on--no obstruction with arm.
Check the fill area of the ice maker for an ice blockage.
- make sure the tube on the back of the Ref. is connected to the white rectangled block of the fill tube.
- check to make sure the water filter in the bottom of the unit was not kicked and has popped out or is not seated / locked in place.
- Check to see if water is actually getting to the unit.. from the 1/4 inch supply line.
If your icemaker is the common one there here is a way to test it:
