I installed Window_XP.But my driver_CD is broken.

If you have the CD which comes with ACER notebook you can use that to install the drivers. Or you can use Internet to search for the drivers.

Windows XP does not have some driver updates being already installed. So you have to install each and every driver manually. Try searching for the drivers you need in your MotherBoard Manufacturer website if you dont have the Driver cd.

Best way is boot to the VISTA DVD and delete the NTFS partition. Once you have done that, you should be able to boot to the XP CD and install XP. Caution, make sure you have already downloaded and saved the XP drivers for this model system, before you do the XP install. Some vista systems do not have drivers for XP or have FIRMWARE issues with rolling back the OS on some devices (Dell bluetooth 360 is one)

You need to download all the drivers installer files from manufacturer website first, and also all the software you want to install automatically with Windows. Then you build a Windows Xp boot CD with all the software setup embedded.

If you have a Toshiba Recovery CD you may be able to install XP, otherwise :-
You need a Windows XP installation CD together with the installation Product code.
To install Windows XP insert the CD in the laptop and boot up with the CD and follow the screen instructions.

You can download any/all the Windows XP device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page.
Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers.

dear windows vista not support this driver .please install widows XP and install usb driver.

Check that the driver is compatible with your operating system
Vista or XP.
My card has 2 type of drivers
1 for XP and the other for Vista
You may be trying to install the wrong one

u can download autio driver or use ur motherboad cd room or download Driver Detectar and update through internet

Go to Compaq.com and type in your model number or you computer in the support section. The drivers you need will appear on the screen for download.

insert xp cd
when appears press any key to boot from cd.....
press ENTER
now follow the instructions...
