The Acer travelmate 240 boots up and after the Acer screen goes to the windows didnot close properly screen and then back to the Acer screen. How to boot it up ?

Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. My Acer travelmate 240 is not booting it just shows a black screen after POST Please help.

When asking questions, please let us know what operating system you have, that goes a long way into us helping out....thanks you. You can try to boot into safe mode first, just to see if the laptop will boot into windows period. When the acer screen first appears, tap the F8 key repeatedly until you see a multiboot minu appear, if you di, that is a good first start...now scroll to the "Safe Boot with Networking" and select it. If the laptop boots into safe mode, I suspect something must have been downloaded like a windows update that may not have installed correctly and corrupted the Startup. If you booted into safe mode, send me a message and I'll explain how to restore the system back before you had the problems. If it doesn't boot into safe mode I might be able to help with that too, but I need to know the operating system.

you have to open the back cover and there you can find  a CMOS battery located on the motherboard ....try to remove  and insert it ..it will reset the BIOS password ...

hard disk error, insert operating system disks and run a repair or a complete clean installation.

when you boot up next time tap the F8 key. This will bring you to a screen that gives you a bunch of boot up options. Choose the one that says use last known good configuration. this should solve your problem.

u r hard drive didnot configured properly (it is in default)
go to cmos settings change hdd mode from sata to ata r some like that & save it
now try to re install.i will tell u tomorrow if u require.

well its all ur luck any way try the latest drivers from acer site
for vga card and bios also.. might help u in fixing it
