Thanks but I no longer require assistance. I tried to remove my post but it does not seem possible. I no longer need assistance because I sent the TV back. There is no solution as there is no universal remote code --- ridiculous for a brand new TV set that most people are probably going to want to use with cable!
The information that I have found by searching is saying that your remote is not a "learning" remote and you need to get a rev 8 remote which is a "learning" remote.
