I can't get either of my 2 computer monitors to work through my DVI D cable, both monitors work through a VGA cable, just the DVI wont work, what is wrong?

dvi cable most likely will only work as a second monitor rather than as a primary monitor. Suggest checking you computer video card specifications to see if this is the case.

I want to connect a HP w2207 monitor to a HP TouchSmart IQ770 PC. What is the best way to do this?

Your HP w2207 monitor has support for both VGA and DVI inputs. This therefore means that you can connect your HP TouchSmart IQ770 PC via either of these two connectors.

VGA is the blue coloured port on the rear of your monitor.
DVI is the white coloured rectangular port located on the rear of your monitor.

DVI is the better connection of the two as it is a digital connection, so use this one if you can, alternatively you can use the blue coloured VGA cable to connect your monitor to your computer.

It all depends on which output, either DVI or VGA is found on your Computer. Remember VGA is the Blue coloured port and DVI is the blue coloured port.

All the best!

I moved and lost the video cable to my HP Pavilion F1903 monitor where can I get a new one

Any "male-male" video-cable will work.

Check whether you need a VGA-to-VGA cable, or a DVI-to-DVI cable, depending on the connectors (oval for VGA, rectangular for DVI) on both your monitor and your computer's video-card.

Try the local "Thrift Shop" (Salvation Army, Value Village, et cetera).
Try any local computer-store.
Try any "big-box" store (BestBuy, Walmart, Staples, OfficeDepot, FutureShop).
Try 'www.ebay.ca'.

Moniter colour gone pink

Cables do periodically go bad. But If I were you I'd be more worried about a bent/broken pins on the end of the cable. Take a flashlight and shine it on the pins on both end of the cable to see if they have any bent/ broken pins. If you do see a broken pin you will want to check the connectors on both monitors to make sure you don't have a broken connector pin stuck in them. Also  If the broken pins are stuck in the monitors I'd reccomend going to an electronics repair shop to have them fix it for a low price, But this is a worst case scenario. I'd bet its just a bad cable, or the cable just went bad.
If you don't see any signs of broken pins, then I'd reccomend getting a new cable and a higher quality/heavier duty one.
If its a "VGA"(analog) cable with blue connectors, I would reccomend upgrading to a HDMI or DV(Digital format) I cable if possible. And if thats not doable and you must use VGA for some reason I'd reccomend getting a heavier duty cable from an online shopping site like newegg.com. I personally just got a Rosewill VGA cable and it works perfectly for me. Just make sure you get the correct female-female connector types and also make sure its the appropriate distance. And remember if your getting a VGA(analog cable) the shorter or less cable you need the better, since analog cables degrade over larger distances.

CHANGEING MONITORS

Hi Laura and welcome to FixYa!

Yes, you should be able to change your monitor. You will notice that if you unplug your monitor's cable from the back of your computer, you will see an adapter that looks like the one below (called VGA).

I can't seem to find the specs on the new monitor you mentioned, but most new LCDs (flat screens) have DVI cables, which look like the picture below.

Don't worry, its an easy fix. Go down to your local electronic store and ask for a "VGA to DVI converter". It will look like the one in the picture below. Mine cost me about $8 USD.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
