Hold the power button down on the top for 5 seconds then slide the power bar to the right to power your I phone down. Then press the power button again (1 sec) to power unit back up. This is effectivly a re-boot. If that does not help, I would hook it to your computer launch itunes and do a restore. If that does not work it's time to visit a Mac Store.
Hope this helps

How do you unlock a ipod touch without the password?

the best way to unlock the iPod is to plug it into the original computer that it was set up with,, go into your iTunes screen and when you unplug the iPod from the computer it will no longer be locked. then go into your ' preference ' settings and select OFF the lock and this will disable the lock function.
if that does not work then you can restore the iPod to the factory settings --- now this will erase all songs on the iPod - but you should be able to download all your songs back onto it from your iTunes page on your computer.

The power button on top is no longer working. Nothing happened to the ipod, dropped etc.... the button just stopped functioning.

If your iPod is under a year old, you can get it serviced at the Apple Store for free, or get it replaced.
Otherwise, it sounds like something might have caused it to break (pressing too hard? someone dropped it without you noticing? tearing it apart and not putting it back together correctly?), in that case, you might have to pay Apple to fix it (if its older than a year).

Hi,sliding function not working, any help? andy

Try the following

Turn the ipod off and then on again.

If that does not work reset the ipod while it is connected to the power. You do this by pressing and holding the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same tme for at least 10 seconds, until either the apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, charge the ipod until it is fully charged.

Hope this helps.

Transferring pics from ipod video, 30gb back to laptop

I don't think that is possible. Its a one way thing where you can only put pictures from your computer into the IPod.

If it does work, click on your Ipod in Itunes and go to the pictures folder and see if it will let you drag and drop them.

If it does then it work but ITunes doesn't work that way under normal situations.

Ipod nano

I have had good experiences with this

http://www.getsharepod.com/

SharePod should allow you to upload music from your iPod to your new computer even though your old computer no longer functions properly

If you have iTunes installed on your new computer, do NOT click yes when you plug it in and it asks if you want to format it. Formatting = BAD if you haven't backed up your iPod yet. To use the iPod with your new computer you will need to eventually format it, but not until you back up your stuff...

Hope I helped :)

Sound from Ipod no longer functioning correctly (sound jack?)

yes if you no of any person or your self that has any electronic nolige ?it easy to repair if you look in side the jack you should see i small flat peace of metal ? just get a tiny thin screw driver preferbly a wach makers one and gently force the metal out a bit as this is not making proper conection or if you prefer just take it to any electrical shop and ask them how much it would cost to replace the jack
