unplug the television...wait 10 seconds and then plug back in....if you listen carefully after 5-10 seconds you will hear a click sound (the same sound that you hear when you turn on or off) ...once you have heard it, turn the TV on again using the remote. Do not turn on until you hear the click. If this does not work, try again but turn the TV on again before you hear the click. I dont know why it happens but it is as if the TV gets confused as to whether its supposed to be on or off. Most of the time, the solution is to turn it on after the click so I would always try that first.

3 blinks indicates lamp door is not on or has not been reinstalled properly. This also could mean the lamp door switch has failed itself. Try removing the lamp door and putting back on, if that doesnt correct the problem then I recommend having the switch replaced.

yes...it blinks 5 times and then pauses and repeats again
I heard a loud sound and then the picture was gone...
Is the light blinking so many times and then pausing and then repeating again. If so this is a code that may help us figure out what is wrong with your tv or which part may need replaced.
