Sounds like you have a outdoor unit fan motor that is not working, it could be burnt out, or the capacitor may be bad. The capacitor will sometimes puff up, then top or bottom will sometimes bulge just a bit, usually due to low voltage or lots of heat. At least a place to start.
Good Luck,
Paul

I was checking my central ac, heater. It clicks, gets hot, then does nothing. Blower doesn't kick on. If I turn it on the ac section, outside unit fan, and inside blower motor all work.

Check that the filters are clean, Common failure on most air cons. If they are blocked or dirty, the indoor unit gets really hot and keeps switching off as it thinks it has reached room temperature. WASH the filters in water. Dont vacuum or brush them.

Ac blower in mobile home starts then stops

e.o oddly i remember seeing an AC blower doing this outside of its system it seems to me the control box on the blower isnt really seeming to know what to do since its all controlled electrically and if its getting mixed inpulses then the control box itself can get confused on knowing what to do such as fan speed and controlling it to turn off and on....most likely the control box isnt working as it should and may need replacement or have an electrical guy check things out

Blower never stops. AC outside jammed to stay on???

You need to call someone who truely knows what they're doing. From your decription, the person you had out should not be working on units. You have a problem most likely caused be the person that installed the new motor and these units are not designed to be worked on by the homeowner. There are hazards that could cause damage or injury.

Unit not coming on. air isn't getting cold

First check the breakers for the condensing unit (outside unit) and the disconect outside by the unit (could be a breaker ,a pull off/on switch or fuses)If its ok , you should have 220 ,240 volts to the unit contactor (you'll see it after removing the cover on the condensing unit). When the termostat is in the cold position and the temperature its set is lower than the one inside the house the contactor should be pulled in and give power to the compresor and the fan.But if the termostat is in the cooldest set and the blower inside the house works and the contactor in the condensing unit is not pull in the problem is in the termostat or in the low voltage wire.

I have a colman ac unit and the outside unit will not come on. i hear it clicking but nothing happens

On my computer screen these two problems are not the same.

To "garys2003" Clicking you hear is the contactor closing in calling for cooling. If no power is being supplied to the outside unit high voltage the unit will not run. Check your circuit breaker or fuses in the outside power box. If the outside power box is of the non-fused disconnect, check that the disconnect is inserted properly.

To Trenina: Is your unit a self contained unit outside ducted to the inside as with a Mobile Home. If so your evaporator cooling coil may be frozen over stopping air movement, turn the cooling off and set your fan to on until it defrosts, then return to normal operation and leave the fan on during cooling.

If nothing comes on inside as with a central A/C system you may have a problem with the blower motor itself.
