Hi

The problem could be caused by the connection or configuration of your video equipment. Check the following:

  • Make sure your component-to-VGA video cable is properly connected.

  • Select Component Video as the Computer Input setting in the Signal menu.

  • Make sure the connected video equipment is set up to output video to component video.
Hope this helps

I work in a school and one of the projectors has a yellow area in the centre of the projection. The lamp has been replaced ?

Your Blue LCD Light valve is burned or has dust on it which blocks the blue color.

With RGB, the absense of blue (Red + Green) is yellow.

If you're lucky a simply cleaning at the light valves will solve your problem. Otherwise your looking $$ for a new LCD valve.

Loss of good colour constant blue ghosting to picture, tried adjusting colour and gamma settings, no luck new lamp fitted still same problem. reset to factory settings picture gets worse? help

This will require a technician to repair.

You can do it yourself if you have the service manual and some knowledge of electronic repair, and access to the necessary parts.

It's generally cheaper to buy a new unit than to have one repaired though, unless of course it's under warranty.

Problem with hitachi cp-RS55 multimedia projector sir

There is a menu item which has both the lamp hour reset and check air flow, etc. You must go into the menu and reset the air flow item. MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN THE DUST FILTER!! Heat is the number one killer of projectors and Hitachi's run "hot". I clean my projector once a week--Hey, I'm not rich. lol! Also, excessive heat will cause the lcd panels to fail prematurely and cause lots of other components to do the same.--Rick

Hitachi cp-rs55 not working,tic.tic.... noise coming from project

make sure you reset the lamp timer. Manual has the steps. Hitachi Performa CP RS55 3 LCD Projector

if the timer is reset, try cleaning the color wheel. Optoma HD20 Projector Cleaning this video is for an optoma but the color wheel is cleaned the same way in most DLP projectors. Dirty or dusty color wheel sensors cause the projector to shut down and act like its the lamp.

My CP-RS55 Projector Doesn't Work??? No Light?

Hi there

If the unit is brand new , they should replace it under warranty.

This is most probably a faulty Powersupply / Fanboard !

In your Menu options there is a subfolder where it either reads lamp or lamp timer.
