Super easy
1. Make sure car is disarmed
2. Get in car turn key to IGN position
3. Push valet button one time and let go
4. Push and hold valet button.
5. While holding button push either lock or unlock on keypad of new remote.
6. Siren or horn should sound.
7. Let go of valet button and turn key OFF
8. Test remote
9. Smile and grab a shake ;)

    I just get a remote and i did the same thing but just the lock button works only. The unlock button dose not work and the remote start dose not work.

I bought a 94 suburban and it has the viper keyless entry/alarm/remote start its the 474v 4 button but have no clue what to push to start my suburban any ideas lol

I have a viper 160xv remote starter sys ane my remote 474v 4 button only starts my car need to program it to lock and unlock it
I checked around to see what i could find out about these systems and while they seem to be one of the better ones, the one thing i keep seeing no matter which system i look at is the following words....Installation to be done by a professional installer only.

This usually means you have to take it back to where ever you had it installed and have them "PAIR" the keyfob and the system again or to activate new or "LOST'" features.

Sorry i can't be more help but that's all i could find out about the systems. Sorry

Remotes won't program! Installed Viper 5001 on my 2007 Kia Sorento. Triple checked wiring..all is good. Remotes won't program...no power to main unit. Yet, tested main unit and it has power. Any...
There are two constant 12 volt wires at the ignition on this vehicle: blue and green. The red power (with fuses) wires from the Viper should be connected to either of the two. The ignition wire is yellow. The pink wire from the Viper should be connected there. The accessories are orange and white. The pink with white from the Viper should connected to one and the orange from the Viper should be connected to the other. Please note that the Pink with white should be programmed to act as an accessory (off during crank). The starter wire is red and the purple from the Viper should be connected there. Also check for a good ground connection.

For programming:
Press and hold "f" until LED lights solid (approximately 10 seconds), then press and hold remote starter button(circle w/arrow) until LED blinks three times and the amber transmit LED lights up.
Now you have to enter the remote control learn routine: Turn ignition on, within ten seconds press and release control button on antenna then, press and hold control button while pressing the lock button on remote. System will respond (horn/chirp/flashing parking lights) when holding control button and when pressing lock button on remote.

I bought a 2007 Camry with a remote start. The seller doesn't know how to start the car with the remote. The remote is a 4 button Viper 474V.
First, be sure that the remote is programmed for the vehicle by using it to operate the door locks(pressing the lock and unlock buttons). The parking lights should flash if nothing else works.The usual way to operate the remote starter with this remote is by pressing the * button once but, the option could have changed if the remote has been reprogrammed differently. So, try pressing the * button once. If this doesn't work press it twice within two seconds.If this doesn't work try pressing the lock and unlock buttons at the same time. If these steps fail to initiate the remote starter try the steps listed for the * button with the aux button. If either of the remote starter inhibits (hood pin, neutral safety) are active you should receive flashing parking lights for a failed attempt to remote start.

Remote car starter worked last week but this week it won't start. Changed battery in the remote and still won't start. It will unlock and lock the doors but just won't start.
It probably needs to be re-programed

I lost my viper remote starter, i already bought a replacement remote, but how do i progam it? I have the basic five button remote, black buttons and silver borders around the whole remote.

Program a remote starter key faub a 474v
turn ignition on and press valet button and release. then press and hold the valet button. it will toot or chirp once. press the lock button on the transmitter and it will toot or chirp one more time. shut off key and one more toot. the go ahead and test the remote

Viper 4806v won't program I am trying to install a viper 4806v two-way remote start/keyless entry in my automatic 2004 toyota camry LE 4cyl. I got the lock/unlock, horn, lights to work, and trunk pop to work. I can't seem to get the remote start to work. When I press the remote start button on the remote keypad, the car does not start and the headlights flash 7 times. Troubleshooting says 7 flashes mean a manual transmission mode error. This means I have to enter programming menu 3 and change the starter to automatic mode. When I follow the directions to get to menu 3, nothing happens because I cannot get to menu 3 when I hold down the control button after turning the ignition off. In other words, the control button is not working. The neutral switch is on like it is supposed to be. Kind of bummed about this. Could use some guidance. My wiring goes accordingly and this car does not have an immobilizer because I used a regular metal key to start it. This car has no alarm, just a stock keyless entry, trunk release, and panic button. Again, the problem is :The remote start comes in default manual transmission mode so I have to switch it to automatic transmission mode but I can't seem to enter programming. When I try to enter programming with the procedure followed using the control button, nothing happens. It does not chirp and the LED does not blink. I also cannot enter valet mode using the control button. When the car is locked, the LED blinks and stop blinking if car is unlocked ignition is turned on. I do not understand what is going on.
