I having trouble with my password

The best thing to do in this case is to reset the unit and then login with the "Default" login and password, once "in" the router then one can re-do the password etc all again.
Below is your manual, all is explained in there.

Trying to acces dynex router for xbox live and need a " pass phrase " lost the manual how do i connect

The Manual:
http://dynexproducts.com/cms/documents/DX-E401%20User%20Guide.pdf

The default address of the router is 192.168.0.1. Type that address into a web browser on a computer connected to the network and it should bring up the login screen for the router. The default login for the router is Username: admin with a blank password. If you changed this, you will need to reset the router with the reset button and configure your entire network again to make changes.

I have the dx-wgrtr dynex wireless g router and i can't get it installed on my computer, I have the disk but it won't start.

There an option to manually configuration for the router.
You'll needing to connect your computer to the LAN port of router, connect the modem to the WAN / Internet of the router. Access the configuration page of the router (example 192.168.1.1) then run the wizard and follow the step by step to configure your router.

Dynex DX-E401 Router setup

Here is the manual, and it states that to get into the router you use admin as the user name and password is blank. I would suggest that you reset the router. The reset button is on the back next to the power connector. Use a paper clip and push the reset button in for about 30 seconds till the lights flash. Then you should be able to log into the setup page and set it up .

Ftp server

What is the name of the software? Is that an FTP software?
Anyway if you are using DX-E401 Router you can enable DMZ (demilitarized zone) to your PC.

1.access your router configuration page (default ip: 192.168.0.1)
2.go to advanced tab
3.select DMZ
4.select enable then type the ip address of your server pc
5.apply settings

after that have someone try to access the files in your pc.
if the software you installed is ftp software then have them access it by this

ftp://internet_ip

the "internet ip" is the ip address found in the STATUS TAB of your router under the WAN catergory.

If this software you mentioned is using any particular application ports, you will have to open those ports for your server PC.
In that case you will to configure VIRTUAL SERVER. It's the actual term used by dynex. for you to have a general idea how to configure your pc behind your router please go to this link

http://www.dynexproducts.com/skins/skin_1/Topics/Documents/DX-E401_Manual.pdf

Virtual server configuration is in pages 22-23. It has detailed explanation of the terms used.

Hope this helps!

Connecting to Xbox Live through my Dynex-E401 Router

You would think that Xbox 360 would be perfectly compatible with UPnP. They should be communicating with each other just fine, (UPnP talks to NATPMP to automatically open and forward appropriate ports), and the game's datastream is probably entirely connectionless aside from the initial handshake (UDP).

To log into your router console, type "http://192.168.0.1" into your browser, for the username enter "admin" and do not put in a password. To enabled Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), click ADVANCED and on the left side click DMZ.

You will need to know the internal IP address to the XBOX360, which can be found on the "CABLE TEST" or "LAN" page in the router console.

If you find that you cannot log into the router console with the supplied information, you need to press the little reset button with a pen for like 10 seconds.

If you cannot reach the router console at 192.168.0.1 then you need to go to Network Connections in windows and find out the "Default Gateway IP" which is the router's internal IP.

The XBOX360's internal IP address will be in the same format as your computer's (if you only have one computer, the XBOX360's IP will probably be 192.168.0.101 and your computer's should be 192.168.0.100). All of these are default values. You can change them in the router console as you please.
