How can I restore my Dell Mini Notebook to factory settings? It originally had Windows XP. I was so flooded with viruses that I installed Vista as a new operating system. Now, I do not have wlan card, webcam, or internet. Help!
You can restore your Dell Mini using Using Dell PC Restore in Windows XP or Dell Factory Image. You can successfully restore your computer yourself. All you need is to download a manual containing instruction on how to restore. Download the manual from http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1010/en/index.htm
See pages from 37 - 43. You can restore your computer on your choice.
Cheers!
You can download the device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,
better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on
the bottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the
Service Tag label is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one
of the BIOS pages, the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will
open the page where the specific drivers for your model computer are
located. Also make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of
the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on this link to
download the drivers: -
