Try reflashing the firmware, check your cables by wiggling the ends coming out of the projector and watch the picture for any changes, if it goes to normal at any time, your cables are just worn out. if that doesn't do the trick, maybe your lcd polarizers are burnt, i really need a better description of the picture.

My infocus 5000 has agreen hue and i am not able to change color or tint?

  • jayw_lee Dec 16, 2010

I have the same issue. When I change the brightness or contrast up and then back down the color returns to normal and the green hue is gone. I have to do this manual 'fix' every time I turn on the projector. I'm not sure what the issue is but it is annoying.

My infocus 5000 projector is not putting out yellow color is it the bulb or projector?

Your bulb provides the light, the projector provides the image so it would be your projector.

Infocus projector powers on the green light

Hi I am Vortash check in your user manual this may be the signal to tell you that the projector is telling you that the number of hours for your bulb is up ( or indeed the bulb may have blown but this usually shows a red light if so ) if the bulb life monitior is at it's extent it wont let the light opperate and you have to reset the lamp hours you can find out how to do this in the manual under replacement bulbs .. if you have no manual you may be able to download one from off the net .from the manufactures support site .alternately you may have a ballast problem and it requires an engineer to sort it out . regards Vortash

I have an InFocus SP 5000 that shines green only on the screen. The bulb is nearly brand new. MJ from Hawaii

reset the settings to factory default. if that did nothing, you have an lcd problem. the ribbon cables may have come loose from the main board, or the polarizers are fried due to excessive dust and heat.

Infocus SP 5000 loud electrical noise, then dead

check the lamp again. look in the reflection in the bell of the center glass. do you see any black spots or cracks or uneven bulging? if so, change the lamp and blow the dust out, because it may be over heating. otherwise, the power supply is fried and needs replacing.

Infocus Screenplay 5000 - Pop - Gone!

the power supply is bad. there is a fuse on it, but it wouldn't be a occasional problem. the caps on the ps board may be drying up and causing it notto function. replace the ps.

Very likely your bulb. Could also be your ballast.
