Panasonic PT-47wx53 just shut off

unplug it and hold the power button for ten seconds then release and plug your tv back up it resets it and should fix your problem

Hi,
3 times LED blinks in Panasonic PT-47WX42 shows problem with convergence out chips failure as this tv has two big black ICs STK392-110 as convergence output, replace them to fix tv problem.

Have you tried unplug the power and then plug it back in?
I am also assuming this is an older TV (more than 3 years).
Have you replaced the lamp?
Did you open the back panel to take a look?
I can safely say there must be a lot of dust inside.
Blow the dust off with compressed air and see if that helps.

this just happened to us, we tried the reset button, didn't work. we unplugged from surge protector and plugged the tv in the regular wall socket and after a few minutes the green light quit and we were able to turn tv on

PT-47wx53? This means the set is in shutdown---unplug the set and plug it back in and turn it on----when the power light blinks try to count the sequence---

for example___3 blinks, a pause and 3 blinks---it should repeat this several times---count carefully and let me know the number of blinks

3 blinks is the most common and the easiest to diagnose for repair.

Very common problem. 3 blinks means the convergence circuit has failed . Heres a link to the repair kit for your model which contains both convergence IC and the feed resistors and the kit has step by step instructions with pictures so you can easially do the repair yourself.
