There are two standards, 568A and 568B. As long as both ends of the cable are wired alike, it doesn't matter which you use.

For the 568A:
1 - White / Green
2 - Green / White
3 - White / Orange
4 - Blue / White
5 - White / Blue
6 - Orange / White
7 - White / Brown
8 - Brown / White

For the 568B, just swap the Green pair and the Orange pair.

Rj45 conector pug installation

RJ45 cables have a lock lever, which you need to press before pulling the plug out of the socket. locate the lever, press it towards the socket (sometimes you need a screwdriver or similar), then you can pull the plug out.

I have a (like) phone chord and can't find where to put the other end. We have it plugged into the back of the router, need to know where to plug the other end.

It depends on which country you are in.

It depends what Broadband wiring setup you have.

It depends which type of cable you are talking about (see images 1 and 2 below)

In some countries, the RJ11 to RJ11 cable goes from this device into the phone Socket of an ADSL filter. One RJ45 to RJ45 cable goes from the Router into the Ethernet Socket of the ADSL Filter. Another RJ45 to RJ45 cable goes from the Router to the Computer. The ADSL Filter then goes into the Phone socket in the wall.

You need an ADSL Filter in every Phone Socket that has a telecommunications device attached to it (Fax Machines, Answering Machines, TV Set Top Boxes, games Consoles etc.). The ADSL filter separates Telehone, Voice & Fax Data traffic from Broadband traffic and allows all to share the same phone line with out conflict.

In some countiries or wiring setups, the RJ45 to RJ45 cable form the Router to the Wall does not need to go via the Phone Socket and can go directly into its own dedicated Ethernet Wall Socket.

Need to know how to wire a RJ45 Cate 5E wall socket. Trying to understand the wiring diagrams which are numbered 1 to 8 where as socket is configured as A and B in two rows of 4. Fittings I have are Krone...

If you place the socket in front of you, the terminals from on the left side from bottom to top will use the white/blue, blue, white/brown, brown wires and the terminals on the right side would use the green, white/green, orange, white/orange wires from bottom to top.
A and B are used just to differentiate from the T568A and T568B schemes. So if you don't need cross-over configurations, you can just use the same on both ends. The method above is for the B scheme.

Rj45 connectors seem loose in ports. if you wiggle the cable you loose connection. we made our own jumpers with cat 5 and standard 8pin rj45 ends

Does each end "click" when you push it into a socket? It should.

Most 8-pin RJ45 ends have a "tab" -- squeeze it to release the "lock" which holds the end into the socket. Check that the "bump" on the tab is going deep-enough into the socket to "lock" the end into the socket.

I have a Dynamode wireless router which i have configured however the cable which came with it does not fit into telephone connection. What other cable do i require

The nework cable that came with the wireless router has RJ45 connectors (8 wire cable) and the telephone cable has narrower connectors RJ11 (4 wire cable) or RJ12 (6 wire cable - less commonly used).
I assume the Dynamode wireless router does not have a built-in modem and therefore needs to be connected to a broadband modem.
If broadband modem is a cable or DSL type, the broadband modem is connected to the Dynamode WAN/Internet socket with a RJ45 LAN cable.
If you have a broadband DSL modem you need a RJ11 phone cable to connect the moden to the phone socket.

This is for a newbridge or alcatel 3624 mainstreet channelbank - do not use the modem side, only use the terminal side - all is needed is Rx, Tx, and ground - if looking from the "window" side of rj45 connector, or pins-side up on rj45 socket.

I have a toshiba v000108500 motherboard, when lan cable is plug into RJ45 socket, lan work normally, problem is the yellow LED of RJ45 always on (doesn't matter two computers communicate or not), when two...

If you are not having any reception problems to the internet, worry not.
Normal is solid amber, and when it flashes that is a sign of activity on the line. This is not a indicator of a problem or potential problem.
Again if I understand you correctly the local area network is working normally. If this is not the case please write back.

Network cable stopped being recognized

rj45 (cat5) sockets have 8 internal tensioned wire prongs, (six are used for cat5 ethernet)
use weakens the tension and they can be dislodged sideways vertically or disconnected from the internal cabling. Likewise solder connnections to the motherboard fail.
a possible fix is to power down the pc, and with a jewellers screwdriver ensure that all the internal wires are present, straight, aligned, and protruding across the opening.
If there are missing wires(broken) then the rj45 socket shoould be replaced at your local pc store, (not walmart)
