Seeing double picture come on but looks like it overlaps and has red

If picture is 3d looking it sounds like a convergence problem.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.

Picture look double and the colors red come out the bottom of the screen on the lower left symptom is for busted convergence IC,you must replaced this IC in order that will works better again.STK 392-xxx ICs and it's associated resistor,this resistor automatically change value,can caused truoble even though you change the ICs.If you bring this to a service center they cost you $600 to $700,but if you buy the repair kit you can save more,don't wory it is very easy because there is intallation guide including in the repair kit. What model is your tv? Panasonics have a 'self-alignment' system in the menu, or a manual alignment that the menu will actually walk you through. Other System's will be able to do that also, such as Hitachi.
