Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
I have one of the Cookworks Steamer (Argos) since about a month.
It worked fine and now it behaves odd - it starts steaming as usual then it switches off, then on and so on. It prolongs the cooking time, I can't cook according to coocking times of single foods (i..e Chicken thighs, rice and veg).
That thing is all plastic and not much you can break or change settings in a way that it could cause this effect. It sounds more like the Auto-off is broke but no idea how. Any idea?
Thanks - Markus
Hi Markus, did you manage to solve your problem somehow? I experience the same (with the same steamer).Thanks.Tomas

You have two
choices when you are cooking several different types of foods in a steamer at
the same time.
1. If you are cooking different
vegetables, you can cut the harder ones ie potatoes and beetroot into smaller
pieces than the softer vegetables.
2. You can open the steamer during the
cooking process and add in the foods that need less time to cook.
A lot of it is about experimenting until you get the results you want.
