Photo's were erased on a nintendo DSI but they were not saved on a memory card. Can I retrieve them? They were erased by accident, my 8 year old is devastated

Hi.

1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
2. Select the right arrow to reach the forth page, then select "Format System Memory."
3. Choose this to erase all saved data, and return the system to the state in which it was purchased

What data will be erased?

• Data saved on the system memory, such as software

downloaded from Nintendo DSi Shop.

• Changes made to the System Settings

If you have upgraded the firmware then you cannot reverse that.

Unfortunately, the DSi completely removes headers to files when you delete them from the device itself. Unless you know anyone who's good with computer forensics, you might be out of luck. Sorry!

you should have an sd memory card slot on the side of your dsi you can save pictures to sd card

press the first icon on dsi menu now press data managment now press recycle bin and the photos are there!This always works with my black dsi!

As long as the memory card has not been formatted it is possible to retrieve images that have accidently been deleted. Search in google for image recovery software from media cards . There are a lot of free software sites that allow you to recover images yourself.
