Fuji FinePix 2650 Digital Camera Logo

I want to know if I can use the eject

I want to know if I can use the "eject" drive (normally used for Windows ME users -- as the manual shows ) option for the "removable F" drive in Control Panel?
As my lastest reinstall has caused a problem with using the WIN XP Scanner and Camera Wizard Autoplay feature..

Basically, will this help reinstall the Fuji FinePix 2650 camera software and driver and allow me to do a fresh install?

I really do not want to use the FInePixViewer software upload my digital pics from my camera -- I want to use the AutoPlay WIN XP Camera Wizard again, as I did before, but it is giving me trouble and for some odd reason will not NOW find my camera anymore -- nor load up my pics from the digital camera. The Wizard says "something else is using the USB port or files" ??

Plus, there is an unknown "Other device" Yellow warning Q? Mark listed in Device Manager - in System files, which has listed under it what is called Multimedia Audio Controller" which I have No Clues what it goes with -- except it says its a (Code 28) and says to reinstall the drivers -- but it cannot find it rhrough the Hardward Wizard.
So I am conplexed as to how to solve these issues. Can anyone tell me!!

Can I safely delete both of these devices in System Properties ---and could these devices be related to the Removeable F drive - as the Fuji - FinePix manual says that it places an Removable Disk F: icon in Control Panel?

Are you telling me that I need a new USB cord? My problems since 2010 is not the USB cord -- it the fact that the FUJI 3.0 Driver was placed in the Windows TEMP file area and Windows, and once I found its location - it says Opens WIth "Unknown device." So maybe another USB cord would help, but I do not see how that helps me with the Driver being listed in my temp file - issue. And since the time of this post in 2010 -well I had to find another way to install my pics, pretty much as I described in my lasted post. The USB cord must be fine if I can use it to transfer my pics - from within My computer and load them that way into the conputer IMHO. However, I see that You are showing [new] smart cards too! So, what you are attempting to tell this old bird-- [me] in other words, you are saying that I put my smart card in this smart card reader instead and load them that way? IF SO -- then can you flip the pics before you load them to the desktop, and or does this reader changed them to a jpg pic file -- or are they stil DSC [read only] once loaded? As I should of mentioned in my second post -- that I did not see [or HEAR] the "found new hardware" icon come up on the taskbar -- with the uninstall -reinstall of the software, and I believe this is due to the FUJIUSBDRV [3.0,0,0] going into the Temp folder - instead of its proper place - where ever in the system files it is supposed to be placed? Regardless, I will try your suggestion once I can get to Walmart again. Thanks posting your solution.

The fix is simple...use a separate card reader to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Here's mine....it's $13 at Walmart, reads 32 different cards and is compatible with pc and mac. I want to know if I can use the eject - 1d9c8e1.jpg

Machine won't start - so put diagnostic cd in and now cannot eject it. Sift key eject does not work - is there any other way of ejecting cd from Dell XPS One

You may not be able to eject CDs or DVDs from your computer, either using the Windows Eject feature or by pressing the button on the drive. If the Recommended Solution above does not automatically return your drive to a working state, try these options:
  1. Attempt to Eject the CD in System Setup. Software may be interfering with the normal operation of the drive. Reboot the computer and tap the F1 key while at the Dell logo screen to enter System Setup. Then attempt to eject the CD tray using the button on the drive. If the drive ejects properly, there is a software conflict that needs to be resolved.

  2. Try a Diagnostic Startup. If the drive ejects normally in System Setup, try a Diagnostic Startup of Windows 7.
    1. In Windows, click Start, then in the Search box type msconfig and hit .

    2. Click Diagnostic Startup to load basic devices and services only.

    3. Reboot the computer and try to eject the drive when you get back into Windows 7.

If the drive ejects correctly, look for burning software that may be controlling the drive and update it or uninstall it.

  3. Reseat the drive. The cabling of the drive may be loose, or the drive may not be seated correctly in the laptop. Refer to the Online User's Guide for your computer for information on reseating the cables or the drive in the computer.

  4. Update the optical drive firmware and the BIOS on the computer. In some instances the firmware of the drive may become corrupted or the BIOS may 'lose' the drive. Visit the Dell Drivers and Downloads website and input your Service Tag to get updates specific to your computer.

Have you tried removing the cables from the drive and refitting them.

Using toshiba external hard drive. Windows XP, service pack 3. When I plug into usb port it shows on task bar usb device plugged in. Then I go into my computer and it doesn't show up.... Checked...

Try another USB cable. In case that the drive has no external power supply use a short cable. Keep in mind that each time you remove the drive without ejecting the proper way you may destroy the disk. Also if you already have done it, it will take longer to start up. If you can't eject it the proper way, shut down the computer, eject the disk and start up again.

I was given a 160 GB simple tech external hard drive and pluged

You don't really need a manual, it's simply a normal USB HDD you just plug it into a USB port. If OK, you will hear a "Bong Bong" and the OS will detect and install drivers, then the device will show up in My Computer, as a simple HDD, just use it as a normal drive.

DVD does`t open. It have one disc inside and I need it. Exist one software command (by pc) that permit to open the dvd without use the open key? Thank you, Jorge Lopez

Any operating system that believes the disk is in use may restrict the disk bay from opening by the use of the drive button or a soft eject keystroke. In Windows this most commonly happens when the system believes itself to be actively accessing or installing from the CD/DVD drive when actually the disk is unreadable, the drive has become unmounted, or a software product has locked the drive. In this case, there is no soft key command to force it to open.

You essentially have three choices:
  1. Wait for the application using the drive to time out and then eject the disk normally
  2. Force quit the application or software that is monopolizing the drive then eject the disk.
  3. Restart the computer to terminate any processes currently monopolizing the drive.
  4. Force a paper clip in the small access hole to manually eject the drive. (I know this third is exactly what you didn't want to do)

All phones have this feature of showing their memory card as mass storage. BUT, before you do that transfer all your data to the memory card.
