Hi Silvia,
I have just had a similar problem with Lexmark X1270. I talked to lexmark but they could not resolve it. I think the problem is with the registry. If you download driver cure (for which you have to pay), it will update your drivers including the printer driver so easily, while cleaning up registry junk.
Maybe the drivers are shot...remove old s/w
go here for latest ones
install and try it again..

Please provide me with a sotware installation for multifunction printer Lexmark X1185

I thank you for your understanding and wish you success in your daily work
1. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in "NET STOP
SPOOLER" (this will stop the print spooler service)
2. Browse to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder
3. You should see files there ending in .SPL and .SHD created
around the time you tried to print - delete these files.
4. Browse to Start -> Run... and type in "NET START
SPOOLER" (this will restart the print spooler service)
5. Double click the printer icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar to examine your print job queue and browse to View -> Refresh.

I have the same problem with a Lexmark X1185 All-In-One. Most frustrating! I've downloaded a new driver, but the problem has not gone away. Arrg!
the printer only prints to half of the page and then stops, and indicates paper jam, then stops
printer only prints to 99 % of print , unable to print again unable to clear the print request.
