As I understood it, the Plug and Charge does nothing but charge.
For using my wireless controller on the PC I bought a wireless adapter.
run a google on "xbox 360 wireless controller for windows"

I think they End of Lifed this product (at least here) but you can pick a generic one up off eBay from about $13.
You might get lucky and find a genuine one which comes with another controller.

The play and charge kit won't allow you to use the wireless controller on your pc, it will only let recharge your battery. You need the Xbox 360 Wireless Reciever for Windows to use your wireless controller or get a wired xbox controller which costs less than the reciever.

Most games support the gamepad by default. You should not need any software or setup. But you might need the Drivers for it... Check this out, hope it helps:

How do i reactivate the wireless controller to my xbox 360

How to Configure an Xbox Controller Fotolia.com"> configure-xbox-controller-800x800.jpg Configure you Xbox controller.

The Xbox 360 utilizes two types of controllers: wired and wireless. Like most operations on a video game console, configuring a controller requires little effort. You can either plug the controller into a port on the Xbox 360, or sync a wireless controller using the console's built-in controls.
Difficulty:Easy Instructions

  1. Wired
    • 1 Connect the controller's cable to the in-line release cord. This cord prevents you from accidentally pulling the Xbox 360 along with your controller during game play.
    • 2 Insert the in-line release cord's USB plug into the USB port on the front of the console.
    • 3 Turn on the console to activate the controller automatically.
    Wireless
    • 1 Insert batteries in your wireless controller, if necessary.
    • 2 Hold down the "Guide" button on the controller.
    • 3 Push the Xbox 360's "Connect" button, located on the front of the console.
    • 4 Push the controller's "Connect" button to sync it with the Xbox 360.

My xbox 360 controller won't work on my Pc, my pc does recognize the controller but just recharge the battery why? ( O.S win7 )

The Xbox 360 controller only works on a PC if you have the Xbox Wireless Receiver for the PC or if you have a wired Xbox controller. If you are using the Play-and-Charge cable with a wireless controller, it will only charge the battery.

How can i Get it to work on a computer?...It's not responding!

Sorry, the P&C kit delivers power for charging the controller only, no data is transmitted via the cable.
To use an XBox 360 Wireless receiver with a Windows PC, you need the "XBox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows".

I am trying to connect an xbox 360 wireless contoller to my pc. I have followed the directions to download new software for Windos 7 64 bit but the contoller connects but does not do anything.

if your trying to use the controller to play games on your pc you cant unless u buy the microsoft adapter wireless gaming adapter for your computer, if your trying to just charge it, you just connect the charge cable to your usb drive and windows will automaticly find the drivers.

We have rechargeable controllers. They no longer accept a charge. We bought a new battery pack - when you plug in the USB cord from the console to the controller, it says they are fully charged, but when...

it seems like the charge cable isnt charging the pack. have u tried using an alternate charging method like a charge stand? or try on another controller, if it still doesnt work on another controller, its your charge cable.

Help Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver For Windows, help help

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, If the reciever is not lighting up then it is dead, you can try to take it to walmart and exchange it for a working one, they are usualy good at swapping out and if they give you a hard time buy a new one and return it with the old reciever instead of the new one. I hope this helps you.
