Depends on whether it is an aftermarket alarm or OE and what sort of quality it is.
Low cost car alarms are notoriously unreliable and short-lived so replacement is often the only cure, though one big problem with aftermarket alarms of all qualities is the cheap and nasty way lots of them are installed; thrown in, badly sited and wired.

OE alarms are relatively reliable and failure to operate is usually the peripherals, such as door, bonnet or boot switches which are often buried in the catches or multiway connectors into the doors. Pre remote central locking sometimes a complicated switch connected to the door lock would be used.

It is possible that the actuator to the lock has failed and so is not releasing or there is a error on the control panel.

The mostly likely problem your having with the door popping open isa weak or broken door catch,that is one of the easiest things to replace,just pop out out the old one and pop in the new one.I have included a link showing a image of the catch and several options of where to order it online. As far as manuals you could go to Whirlpool.com/owner center enter in your model# and download manuals

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

LG's 'oe' stands for Open (door) Error. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

Aftermarket units like this sometimes don't work well with OE ones. I'd get an OE part. If you don't won't to buy a new one. Look for a used one on car-part.com. It has junk yards all across the US.

Open the small door on the front of the machine and take out the strainer for the pump i think you have something stuck in the pump also be carefull when you put the strainer back it is kind off tricky to line up.

Here are error codes/:

OE= PUMP BLOCKED OR WATER NOT PUMPING OUT ( LOOK FOR PROBLEM IN THE PUMP IMPELLER )

IE = NO WATER INTO APPLIANCE CHECK WATER TAPS ECT

DE = DOOR OPEN OR NOT LOCKED

UE = IMBALANCED LOAD

SE = NORMALLY MOTOR FAULT BUT COULD ALSO BE MAIN PCB FIRST CHOICE IS CHANGE MOTOR.

CE = CURRENT ERROR SHORT CIRCUIT TO MOTOR OR MAIN PCB DUFF

LE = LOCK ERROR BASICLY WIRING TO THE DOOR LOCK IS FAULTY

FE = TO MUCH WATER IN TUB

TE = TEMPRATURE ERROR NORMALLY THERMISISTER OR ELEMENT FAULT

PE = PRESSURE SWITCH FAULT

error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly.try running the spin cycle alone till the water empties completely.If the problem still continues it means that the pump is clogged where you cant reach, since you've tested with the drain hose.

Check the filter located at the bottom left hand corner. There is a door that you can open and pull out the filter.
