Have you formatted the flash drive?

Go to My Computer and right click the flash drive (make sure you select the correct drive, as all data will be deleted)

Choose Format and that will completely remove all data.

Hey i have a 14.8gb SanDisk® Cruzer Glide™ USB Flash Drive, 16GB in im tryna drag a mp3 file to it in telling me The item can't be copied because there not enough free space

If you are using Windows 10, right-click on the Windows Start icon in the lower left. From the menu which appears, select File Explorer.

The window which appears should be centered on "This PC" on the left panel. On the right panel will be a section titled "Devices and Drives". This will show you the disk drives on your computer, their size and the free space left on each. You should be able to see the USB Cruzer drive as one of your devices, and should be able to see if there is, in fact, any free space on it.

The message you received sounds like a valid message. If you see that there is little free space on the drive, you can double-click on that drive in the File Explorer window to examine its contents to decide if there are one or more files you want to delete to make room for the file you are trying to copy to the drive.

Status code 4174-0000-3080-0504-8007-000D

This is very simple: you seem to not have enough hard drive space for a system update that your console is trying to install.

Error 8007 0070 occurs when you install an update or buy content on...

(I've pasted some bullet points for you)

" Error 8007-0070 occurs when you install an update or buy content on Xbox 360
Problem
You may see the following error code and message when you try to update your Xbox 360 console or purchase content:
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-8007-0070

Note
The "x" characters in the error code vary.
This may mean that there's not enough space on your storage device (mostly likely the Xbox 360 hard disk) to install the update or the content.

Solution
A console update or content download may require significant hard disk space. If you don't have enough free space, you need to move or delete some items."

You can probably get around this by using a 32gb USB thumb drive and moving some of your content that's hogging up your console's space onto that thumb drive temporarily.

Heres the Xbox.com info to get you started about moving and deleting hdd space--which also has info about using a USB thumb drive, too. Copy move or delete Xbox saved games profiles and avatar items

Copy dvd to laptop

Insert the DVD, find it in Windows Explorer, left click on the files you want to copy, right click and select "copy", then left click on where you want to copy to and right click again and select "paste". This will work unless the DVD is copyprotected by the creator.

I have just purchsed a 4gb usb2 flash drive . I am wanting to copy some pictures from my desktop and put them on my new laptop . Can anyone tell me how to do this in simple language as i do not understand...

Hi. All you have to do is:

- Insert your new USB flashdrive in an empty USB slot in your desktop computer.

- A new window will appear and will ask you what you want to do with that device... Choose "Open folder to view files".

- Then just leave it there and go to the file(s) you want to copy, right click on i and click "copy"

- Go back to your USB folder, right click on an empty space on that folder and click "paste". That will copy the files into your USB flashdrive.

- Remove the USB flashdrive from your desktop.

- Insert it into your laptop's empty USB slot.

- A new window will appear and will ask you what you want to do with that device... Choose "Open folder to view files".

- Highlight all the files you want to copy from USB flashdrive folder, right click and click "cut".

- Go to your laptops folder where you want to copy the files, right click on an empty space and click "paste".

WESTERN DIGITAL 320GB PASSPORT USB PORTABLE

Doh

After posting the above, I found the answer on another forum about 10 minutes later. The WD drive is formated in FAT 32. My XP PC HDDs are formated in NTFS. FAT 32 has a 4Gb file size limit.

Answer. Format the WD drive in NTFS. It takes about 10 sec to do a quick format, but of course you lose all the content. Then You can copy anything you like to it. I have just copied a 33Gb video to the disc.
