I work for the Ionic Pro company. You can wash the blades in the dish washer, just make sure to let them air dry for at least 24 hours before reinserting. You can also try rubbing alcohol. If this does not work, please call customer service at 800-875-8577 and they will be happy to assist you. Thank you, Mary
I found that the buzzing can be removed by blowing out the unit,
cleaning the blades and taking a long cotton swab and alcohol to
thoroughly clean the corona wire - carefully - don't break it. The wire
should be clean enough that the slider/wiper runs smoothly up and down
the wire after cleaning. If it drags or is rough to slide, you will
still have noise no matter how many times you clean the blades. The
wire gets a "crust" on it.
