I recently moved the Television to my new house. The TV, unbeknowst to me was laid on its back in travel, but otherwise was handled with kid gloves. When we set everything up, no matter which way we would set it up, we had sound, but no picture, only a greenish tint from a certain angle.
I called Hitachi, they had me call a repair tech, who came to house and tried to diagnose the issue (additionally charged me $140). He thinks it may be something to do with the optical block. What do you think goven the description of the problem?

yes i too think it will be the optical block only sir.
because since the sound only is coming it must be the optical block.
to clear this problem just check the siganl coming from the main circuit board to the display
if this is proper then the screen must have be the defect
simple you get it fixed.
