How to install drive shaft on a husqvarna 322l weed eater 1999 model

The curved shaft machine has a flexible drive shaft like a speedo cable, slacken the two tube pinch bolts, these are accessed on the r/h side of the grey plastic handle through holes in the plastic housing,, remove the two mushroom headed screws either side of the plastic handle, don't lose the black o rings under the screw heads, do not remove any of the plastic housing screws, now carefully draw the tube out through the plastic handle/trigger assembly, once out pull out the old drive shaft, grease the new drive shaft and push back into the tube, once fully in turn the end to make sure the trimmer head turns, now feed the tube back through the trigger housing, make sure it is fully back home and the square end of the new shaft has entered the square hole in the drive drum, re tighten the pinch bolts, start the engine, if the head does not turn, slacken the pinch bolts and push the tube further in, re fit the two mushroom headed screws.

My trigger to my millermatic 250 won't stop feeding the wire even when switch is not pressed

Does it feed with the trigger plug removed from the machine? If so, then it is a circuit board. If no, then wires shorted somewhere in the gun.

I have endless problems trying to feed .8 stainless wire through an ESSAB Compact 200 Mig. .9 mild steel feeds reasonably well but the stainless constantly knots up near the entrance to the liner, after...

Hi:

Probably the gun housing it's missing the inlet guide to the gun, there are two types of inlet (outlet if you see it that is located after the drive rolls) guides: one is made out of plastic and the second is made out of steel tubing (this one is more common on the 250 A machines). Just to make sure that you have one, take the gun out of the hosing and check that inside you have this plastic (or steel) tubing (about 4-6 inches long don't remember exactly), if don't; the go to your nearest welding shop and buy one. You might want to talk to your sales rep about this problem, it's real easy to fix.

Also you may consider check that you are using the same size drive rolls .8 (.030) as the SS wire in use.

And yes, it is ok to swap different types of wires with same gun liner. Just make sure is the right diameter.
Good Luck.

I have a millermatic 130 and the wire keeps getting wound up around the wire assembly

First thing to check is that you still have an inlet guide (plastic funnel like) before the drive rolls. This one can be dirty or have enough build up inside that makes the wire feed imposible. Change this one if possible, it will cost you around 5 bucks at your near welding shop. If everything looks ok, then make sure you have the right drive rolls size, 023 or 030 in this case. Then ckeck you liner if it has a kink or dirty in the inside (use compressed air to blow the inside of the gun) then it's useless, change it. Final will be the contact tip just replace it for the right size according to the wire size.

Millermatic 200 will not weld

1 - Check the ground connection to the work, including the actual cable to clamp connection.

2 - Make sure that the wire feed rollers are nice and clean. The wire needs to be clean too.

3 - Check that the polarity changing wire connections are nice and tight, clean, etc.

4 - change and or service the contact tip at the end of the gun.

as always, gently clean out the loose junk inside the case. A clean welder is a happy welder. :-)
