Hi! I've been having a little (well big) problem with my PSP 3000, and I'm hoping it can be fixed without sending it in for service.
Ok, well I turned it on one day, it goes to the menu, like normal. But the menu scrolls all the way to the left. To be exact...It goes to Settings > Video Settings. From there, I can't move up or down. If I hit right, it goes one option to the right, then right back to settings. If I hold it, it just keeps going back and forth, making the system unplayable unfortunately.
My hopes are low that I can fix it myself, but I'll give it a chance lol.
I got a problem with my psp 3000 twice I installed different stickers for d pad and it works all perfect but when I got for example to type in information it just moves byitself like this way ----------> and it doesnt stop can somebody help me?
I think this is something you can fix, the problem is simply a stuck button. If you can open it up and find the area on the board that's under the D-pad, you should be able to unstick the button by wiggling it a little.

Thank you for responding! I should add, the button itself doesn't feel stuck. Its not pushed in, I don't know what's going on, but I know I can't fix it myself lol.
I decided to go ahead and call customer service. I assumed the only way to fix this myself was to open it up and take a look. I got the PSP last Christmas, and its still under warranty. And If I were to open it up, I'm sure I'd void it. I guess I'd rather be safe than sorry, sending it away to get fixed for sure rather than voiding the warranty and it still be broken :(
I just thought I'd update. I hadn't touched my PSP since I said it was still under warranty and called customer service.
I thought I'd try it one more time before I filled out the online assistance site or whatever. And...so weird...its like nothing ever happened. Lucky me, but its just so weird lol.
