No power The unit was working fine several months ago. But now after plugging it in, get nothing. No lights on panel. Have taken it apart and don't see any damage other than a little on the coils. But seems like there is no power getting to the board on the front panel.

It sounds like there is an issue with the board. You will need to contact LG. This model has a 5 year warranty. If it is still under warranty it will be covered by LG. Here is the contact number for LG:

1 (800) 793-8896

Make sure that you have your reciept to show it is still under warranty.

I have a Kenmore Elite Dehumidifier. Yesterday it just stopped working. When I plug it in, the panel does not light up at all, nothing, no power! Warranty ran out last month. It is 13 months old. Thanks....

Debi, before we assume there is something drastically wrong with the unit itself. Let's look at some other things that may be causing the problem.

1. Is the outlet that unit is plugged into still have power? Has a circuit breaker in you home's
Circuit Breaker Panel been tripped? If so, unplug the unit, before resetting the circuit breaker.

2. Was the water collection bucket recently removed to empty it? If so, was it reinstalled
properly? In other words, was it installed "squarely" into the holder and making contact with
the bucket safety removal switch, on the rear wall of the bucket holder? If not, this would cause
the unit not to activate.

3. Does your model have a float valve in the top of the bucket? If so, the float may be stuck in the
UP position. Which indicates to the unit, that bucket is full. If you have a float valve, jiggle the
arm of float to make sure it moves freely. And reinstall the bucket properly.

I hope all of the above helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Hello, I have a Whirlpool dehumidifier Model# AD25USV (recall adjustment already complete) I have never had any technical problems or damages to the unit, and it has worked great, until...

Hello Shane

Mine won't beep at all. But try this trick I watched the guy do when he came to service mine for the recall they had and push Humid button fan button and power button first hold the first two then push the power button and hold all three for awhile. What this did for him was verify all systems working all the lights came one in sequence.

I do this to mine and will beep twice and nothing else. I've taken mine apart to check the fuse and it's still good so there must be a component that is not working.

On the back of your unit you will find a 800 number which will get you in touch with Trans Global Service which serviced it for the recall.

Dehumidifer will not turn on. An E2 code comes up on the panel. Has been working fine for 4 day.

Since it has been working well for 4 days, it may be a case that the unit needs to reset itself. To accomplish this, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit from the wall outlet and wait 12 - 15 minutes. Then plug the unit back into the wall outlet and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the controls as you normally do. Hopefully, that timeout allowed the unit to reset itself. Also, check to make sure that the water collection bucket is installed properly and is making good contact with the safety switch.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Dehumidifier not collecting water

most probable cause of a dehumidifier not collecting water when it appears to run fine otherwise is a dirty heat exchanger. It is unlikely that a huge spread in the time a unit works is caused by failure of the compressor of loss of refrigerant. On the other hand, people use their units in very varied conditions of dust in the environment with expected short to long operating times before failure. Here's how to fix this problem in two steps.

Step 1: Determine if your compressor and refrigerant sealed unit is operational
Step 2: If Step one is negative, dispose of the unit - specialized equipment is required to repair or recharge a compressor. If step one is positive, then clean the heat exchanger.

Makes a loud noise

not sure which dehum yo have, but here I go! most fans are not part of the cooling system. first remove the housing where the fan is. turn the unit on and check to see if the fan is turning. if not then just wait till you hear the compressor kick in. if the compressor goes on then you do have a problem w/the fan motor and it will have to be replaced. worst comes to worst just bring it into Sears. they have techs which will let you know what the exact problem is and you can take it from there. make sure you give them the model # first, just to check if the have parts for your dehum.
