Ps3 DNS error 80710104

It seems like the DNS error is generally caused by problems on your ISP's end of the network, but that doesn't mean you can't have a crack at fixing it yourself.

Under your network connection settings try changing the DNS servers to the following numbers (they're free by the way)

Primary DNS 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS 208.67.220.220

Also, try disabling media server connection as well. These simple steps should, in 90% of cases, fix the problem.

see i hav the same prob try putting this in
primary dns 208.67.222.222
secondary dns 208.67.220.220
ip address 192.168.1.45
if that dont work people say u should unplug your router 4 a couple of minutes then plug it back in

in the dns server # type in 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 that should fix the error

is it an older game?
if it is then its because the website group hosting that game has stopped because not enough people play to keep the dns system up

try mving your ps3 around into verous places around the room and try to find an internet connecion. you can go to settings, network settings, then settings and connection status list and it will show you how much internet you have.

here is the code to enter at DNS 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1

Try power-cycling:
unplug your ps3,
then unplug you modem and router
wait about 30 seconds
plug in your modem and router
plug in your ps3

I had this problem and it fixed it. Although, I have a different router. Try it anyways and it may save you the trouble of more complicated fixes.
