I am trying to download a WMA Audiobook from the library site Wilbur, but it says that my PNY USB 2.0 FD USB device is incompatible

Did you ever get this working? I'm seeing the same error when trying to transfer an audiobook checked out from the Dallas Public Library to my Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone.

The player does in fact play WMA files. However, if the audiobook is a protected audiobook that you purchased, the Coby device cannot play what is called DRM protected files. While Overdrive supports the playback of these files, the Coby player may not, or you no longer have authorization to play the file.

You may be able to, if our player supports MTP mode. You will have to see if the mode can be changed from MSC mode to MPT. for a better explanation of these terms go to this tip posted here -- Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Dear! You should install total video converter on your PC and then you should convert your files in correct format. Then you can past in mp3 it will work 100% guaranteed.

I was having the same problem when I used Overdrive Media Console to transfer my audiobook files to my Sansa. I updated the license and retransferred and even tried changing the USB settings on the mp2 player. What finally worked? Using Windows Media Player to sync the files instead. When I hooked up my Sansa I chose "use WMP to sync files" and then I dragged/dropped the audiobook files to the mediaplayer window. The audiobook now plays without any problems since WMP made sure the files have the latest subscription update code.

Convert any audiobook file to mp3 or wma format, and you should be good to go

You have no capacity in your firmware for this audiobook to be "OKed" on your device. You therefore cannot play it! Sorry for the bad news! but your device does have limited playback capabilities! please mark this as solved, i would appreciate it!
