I,ve an emachine d620 laptop its working fine except its broken off its hinges can it be fixed

Yes it can, hinges are repairable. Get a quote from your local repair shop, then try these guys: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com

They'll beat any quote even with the shipping charges. And they ship it back by Fedex or UPS

My dryer wont heat up

Pat, You've already asked a question tomorrow and it's still today. Good trick. Also, unless you can give me the make and model # of your dryer, whether it's gas or electric and it's approximate age, there are about 20 reasons that it won't get hot. So, get back to us with the info and we'll start again.

Silow working

Hi,

Just make a back copy of all your important data before proceeding.

1. From standby select Menu > Settings > General > Master reset.
2. If you want to keep installed applications, unmark Delete all user
installed applications.
3. Select Delete.
4. Select Yes.
5. Enter the phone lock code and select Yes.

Hope this helps, thanks!

Still not working try this

1. Turn it off, remove the battery out and reinsert it back again
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until it turns on again
4. Just follow the on-screen procedures to reset the Sony Ericsson

Once the restoring process completes, the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc will then reboot, and then it will restore back to its original default state setting again like when you bought it way back then.

Hope this helps, please rate and leave a coment if the solution is helpful, thanks!

Hi I have another computer a windows xp and I forgot my password what can I do without paying money to recover it do I need to make a system repair disk on this computer

The first thing you can do is try accessing the Administrator account. To make this easier, boot into Safe Mode, and login as Administrator. Turn on the computer, and keep tapping F8 as soon the the bios/post/splash screen is passed, you have to do this quickly. If you do this correctly, you'll see the Windows Advanced Boot Menu, hightlight the Safe Mode using your keyboard's up/down arrow keys and press enter to select and start booting. Wait until you see the the Windows xp welcome screen, select "Administrator" and proceed, if you see any warning message, click "Ok" or "yes", once you are logged in, right-click "My Computer", select "Manage". The Computer Management window will open up, now locate "Local Users and Groups", click the "+" sign beside it and again click "Users", look at the right-pane, you'll see your username (the username you've forgotten your password), right-click your username, and click "Set Password" or if "Reset Password" is available, click it. Set a new password and there you go, you now have reset your windows xp password. Please note that if you have any "encrypted" files or folders, you may be having problem opening them, but if you don't know what is encrypted in Windows, I guess you didn't do that.

Once everything is done, restart your computer and login to your account.

If in case your Administrator account has a password, you won't be able to do this, in many instances, the Administrator password is "admin" (without quotes), so you can try with it, otherwise you'll need a tool like Ophrack or Nt Password reset tool to get this done.

Let me know if you need further help..

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Asus A6R -No power at all

yes repairing laptops is tricky, not like a desktop pc, so that sounds about right, and yes the port on the back where the power plugs in will wear out and break. thus not charging your battery no matter what power adaptor you use. so yes ask them if they offer a no fix no fee policy on that repair. and when they do fix it. check what warrenty the repair comes with. other than that it sounds fine to me.

Yellow prints does not work.

What printer do you have???? It sounds like the yellow part of the head is blocked or an air bubble. New cartridge or refilled or do you do your own. Need more info to help you. Manual clean by you may be needed. Cleaning with proper solution and cotton tips where cartridge contacts heads/ points may solve issue.
