Have a out of date printer Lexmark 1100

I am having problems installing or downloading the software for this printer. do not have a cd-rom for it HELP!

When attempting to add Lexmark 1100 printer to computer with Windows XP Professional, dialog boxes give message that software will not install with my current version of Windows, or that installation may result in the computer no longer functioning. I don't know if I am going through installation process incorrectly or if Lexmark 1100 software is incompatable with Windows XP (I suspect the latter). Is there a way Lexmark 1100 can be installed into computer with Windows XP without brouhaha?

The lexmark x2650 doesn't have the OCR software in it. I try to scan a document and edit it but can't because no OCR software included

To scan documents for editing and saving as PDF file, you will need to install the Lexmark OCR scan software on your computer. The Lexmark scan software (no downloadable version) is only available on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you lost the disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

To install the OCR scan software from the printer installation CD:

Insert CD into the CD-ROM drive. If the installation screen open, click Cancel.
Double-click on My Computer / Computer.
Right-click on Lexmark XXXX CD and select Open.
Double-click on OCR.
Double-click on Setup.exe to install the OCR software. Your operating system will then determine the language in which it is installed.

My CD rom will not download to my computer. Originally my computer would not communicate with the printer. So I removed the program and tried to reinstall it with the CD rom and it will not load. How do I...

Try to use the Lexmark P6250 driver from the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/9GDVnj. Select your operating system (if needed) by clicking on "change OS". (see image below)

Then click on "FILTER". (see image below)

Click on the driver under "Recommended Downloads". Download and install the file. Follow the instructions in the software.
Hope you'll be able to successfully reinstall the printer software using this downloaded driver. If problem continues, please contact Lexmark technical support to further investigate this problem. Thanks.

Go to the website, and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software. then restart your computer.

The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.
