I suspect a piece of ginger has gotten stuck? I fit's not that, then I would imagine that it is going to be the Motor has jammed up, It should have had no trouble doing any of that, but, they do just go "Phut" Give it a good clean up, check the spindle and if it is till no go, then It has got to be the Motor.
Hello,
what you need to do from here is that you have to take off all what your mixer contain i mean the ginger wash it very well make sure that no part is left over in it
then pull the switch button up and down that is on and off at a time and make sure that it is unplug to AC you will see it working
please make sure that your ginger is soft or in small size so that it can be easily blend
thank you.

i don't believe the previous 'expert' is familiar with the mixer, as there isn't an on/off toggle switch, only an 'on' light/activate button. The mixer was completely cleaned, hence a piece of ginger would not cause sticking/stuck. Also the mixer doesn't work with cup and blade removed, indicating the problem is internal, not exterman.
Thanks for your time,

Please take a look at online SPB-6 photo. There is no 'on/off' switch. Also the blade mechanism can be completely removed to test if blender is 'turning'. In all states, blender doesn't move, only lights work.
