Why can't i connect my I Pod touch to my cd player with my Dynex audio cable? It works just fine when i connect it to my computer speakers. My cousin's I Phone also works just fine on the same connection.

The best way to connect an older IPod or other MP3 player to the AVR-1803 is to use a 3.5 mm (M) to RCA audio cable. This will work for audio on all IPods (and video on some of the older IPods). Here's an example: http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Audio-Video-Cable-iPod/dp/B000STBSU4 . Connect the 3.5 mm end to the headphone jack; the RCA plugs go into one of the AVR-1803 RCA inputs.
No you do not require a router to connect your I pod to the internet.
If you wish to load the songs on the I Pod, you can first look for songs on the internet and save them to your computer.
Then you can connect the I POD to the compuet via the USB cable which you would have received with the I pod.
Please connect the usb cable one end on the I pod and the other to the
the computer. The moment you connect the I POD to the computer, the system will detect the IPOD player. You can then save the copy of songs you have downladed on your I POD player. You can select the sond saved on your compuet by doing a CTRL+C key and then go to MY COMPUTER> and under the drives section it will show your I POD PLAYER. CLICK ON THE PHILIPS PLAYER TO GO INSIDE SO THAT YOU CAN DO A CTRL+V and copy the songs on the I POD player.
That should do the trick and you shoudl be able to listen to your favourite songs on the move.

You have to set up the AUX output. 1. Touch the source icon and then touch "OFF" to turn the unit off. (The unit will be in demo mode) 2. Touch the screen to display the touch panel keys. 3. Touch AV Menu you should see "Inital Menu" and touch it. 4. Touch AUX 1 on the inital menu to select desired setting. 5. Touch it until Ipod is selected (make sure you have the CD-IU200V connected. 6. Touch ESC. Ipod video should work now. 7. See Page 50 in Operation Manual for more information.
