Navigator Software
The Navigator software is launched whenever your machine is connected to the computer and the machine is on. This software communicates with the machine.

If this is not installed follow these steps;

1. make sure the machine is not connected to the computer.
2. start the install sowftware,
3. The install will then ask for the machine to be pluged in and turned on.
4. After the install is finished, restart the computer.

Install a brand new needle--verify it is installed correctly. (Usually there is a flat part of the needle that must face a specific direction when installed in the machine. Installed incorrectly, it will never sew.)

If a new needle doesn't work, most likely the machine is out of time. Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Hello, presumably you've reinstalled Windows after fitting your new drive. Well, you have to find all the drivers for your machine including the chipset drivers (importantly you must install these 1st)) then your system will 'see' the adapter. If you don't have your driver cd's, then you must go to the web site of Acer (obviously from a machine that can access the internet!) and download all the relevant drivers to a memory stick or burn 'em to a cd, then install them onto your own system. There are now several versions of the basic Futura software and AutoPunch available on the market. The most current is version 1.0.0.2. To determine what version of either software you have, you will find this information around the inside rim of the CD at approximately 4 o'clock. Before loading any of the Options into your computer, check the version and then follow the steps below. The following steps will update your software so that you will now have the latest 1.0.0.2 version of the basic program and all options.

To load base software 1.0.0.0 with AutoPunch 1.0.0.0 or base software 1.0.0.1 with Autopunch 1.0.0.1

• You must use bobbin part number 085128. This bobbin is specifically designed for the Futura CE-100 and CE-200.
• Load Base software (have machine set-up for embroidery with USB connected to both machine and computer - machine turned OFF)
• Turn on Futura machine and double left click on Futura icon to open program
• Close program and turn off the machine
• Install Autopunch and leave the CD in the tray
• Download appropriate update for Windows Version from the Futura-Support.com updates and save to desktop
• Double left click on the desktop download icon to install update
• Turn on Futura machine and double left click on Futura icon to open program

• Close program and then turn off the machine
• Install the Autopunch program and leave the CD in the tray

The card could be bad. I've found over the years that most of these desktop wireless cards work best when the software is installed before the card is installed. Meaning uninstall all the software. Turn off the machine. Remove the wireless card. Turn back on the machine. Install the software. Once installed, shut down the machine. Install the card. Turn back on the machine and lets Windows find the card and the software.

if your machine is 64-bit Vista, then you need to install Windows XP-64bit.
you can install Windows 32-bit on a 64-bit machine, it will work. just not as good. However, you can't install 64-bit OS on a 32-bit machine.
if the machine is 32-bit then you can install any type of OS you want, you can even install them as dual boot.
