Model number 32V524T 32 In RCA Tv all of a sudden our TV just went out no picture and no sound but a BEEPING noice when the power comes on. What can the problem be and can we fix it ourselves? exactly 2 years from the date of purchase we were watching our tv and it just went black. no picture no sound and a chirping sound came from the back. we unplugged it and tried again the light blinks a couple times and a chirp but again no picture no sound and it will not shut off. can we fix it and how much?

This indicates a problem in the power supply either the low voltage switching supply or the High voltage power supply. The sounds you hear is the shutdown circuit activating, I would not suggest that you try to repair this problem because of the dangers involved. I would suggest that you take it to a qualified TV repair shop. This problem should not cost you much, however it is the best choice for the problem you described.

Sounds like a bad horizontal transistor and flyback transformer . Do you know how to unsolder and or solder ? If so you might have a chance . If no the avg. to get repaired is around $90.00 to $130.00 so shop around as some shops will charge more . The parts you could buy your self for around $30.00 to 40.00 . Good luck and if you think you could fix let me know and see if i can get you part numbers .

My sons TV RCA 27" has sound but no picture - the picture will come on and stay on for about 15 minutes and go out again for about 5 minutes and come back on again. And than at other times no picture at all for time on end? (The TV is about 8 years old) I spoke to Verizon Fios and they think possibly it could be the coax cable - want $91 to come look at it. I am just wondering if it could be the picture tube itself? I don't waste the money buying a cable or having them come to look at it? Please advise

Tv picture went black and wont come back on. Tv makes a chirpping sound. unplugged and re plugged and same problem...wont turn on only makes a chirpping sound
I can watch tv for a litle while but sooner or later it goes black but the sound stays on.
Exact same problem, I also have owned mine for 2 years.
