To make sure that printer is detected then do following things.
Before going for deep trouble shooting please make sure following things:
Ensure that USB cable is Plugged properly on both side.
You can swap USB cable to other USB Port.
Ensure that Printer is ONLINE and Paper is loaded.
If above mentioned things are propter then follow below mentioned steps.
1. Keep The printer ON and remove Usb cable and re plug in Computer.
2. Check on System Tray (near Clock) check that Printer is Detected. or you can check this by Checking in Device Manager. You can open Device Manager by Right Clicking My Computer>> Property>> Device Manager>> Hardware Tab.
3. If device found detected then Open "Printer and Faxes" from Control Panel.
4. Right Click your Installed Printer lx300 icon and click on property.
5. Click on "Port" and ensure that Check Mark Should be on "USB00..xx" not on LPT.
6. If Check Mark is on USB00..xx"" then try to give Test Page.
7. If test page is not printing then try by complete removal of Printer Driver and Re-Install It.
