You MUST get a driver for Win98SE if NOT Win98SE it will NOT ever work. Also 4GB is Too Big for the operating system to handle, Win98SE is only a 16 BIT computer. It cannot "Count" up to 4GB worth of address space biggest that can be used on Win98SE is 1GB. get one that will work, and install the Win989SE driver that comes with the unit or download from Kingston web site.

what make and model of computer do you have? the computer is fairly old I gather if you are running windows 98. In most cases your problem will be that a new flash or pen drive will be USB2.0 where your old hardware does not support it.
