Crackling sound Hi, i recently bought logitech z4 speakers which have worked perfectly for the first few weeks. However, i have moved them from university to my home and since then the speakers crackle quite frequently and slow the music down. Any suggestions whats wrong?

The crackling could be due to a faulty wire or jack connection. If you have any other sound device (e.g. headphones), try connecting that one instead of the Z4 and see whether the crackling disappears (in which case it's the Z4) or not (in which case it's the jack or the computer). Could arguably be an EM or electrical interference, but you'd need a laptop running on batteries to check the second, and trying orienting differently the speakers to try checking the first.

The music slowing down means something's wrong in the computer: the Z4 are purely passive, they can't do anything to the music tempo. Try running an antivirus check or try Task Manager (or Process Explorer) and see whether anything's eating more CPU than it should.

One is that your bass speakers is dying on you from the excess bass that has been exerted throught it or have you tried lowering the adjusting bass from the contol panel?
Try adjusting the bass and if that doesnt work aleast you've identified your problem.

Sound comes out of the right speaker with the z4 volume set at minimum. however the sound can be controlled by the windows volume control. When you turn up the volume on the z4 the left speaker works....

open your subwoofer because main system is inside in your subwoofer than clean it with a air blower ..
this happens when dust is inside the system....

How do you get the best sound out of logitech z4 speakers

If you have a newer model computer chances are you'd be getting the best sound quality now. If you want to improve the quality some look into sound cards at most tech retailers.

I have some logitech Z4 computer speakers

If your TV has a headphone socket, then plug the speakers into there, then (you have to do this for some TVs, but not others), go into the set-up menu and turn the headphone volume to 70%. Switch on the Z4 and sound should come out, assuming all connections are correct.

Logitech Z4 speakers not working at all. Checked all connections, computer registering them?... but when I plugged my mobile phone earphones in front jack there's still no sound?!

Please click on the Volume icon in the system tray and make sure that the speakers or other volumes are not muted. Windows has a habit of muting things on its own. And unless there is sound going to the speakers the headphone jack on the front of speakers will not function.

Logitech Z4 Speakers are both Dead.

The wires you put on are probably too small.  The gauge number is too high.  If the wires in the plug are okay, just get some light wire (like is on a table lamp) and use that.  It's similar to what they call monster cable but nowhere as expensive.   It's all about signal flow.
