Hi, I have a Linksys wireless 2.4 that I reset as it was given to us. I have no installation disc. What do I do now?

IF you don't know your wireless password then you can reset your router. To do this press the reset button which is located in the back of your router(press untill all lights start blinking)
Connect your computer in any 1-4 port
After that you can access your router via web browser. For most Linksys routers you can achive this by typing : 192.168.1.1 default user: admin pass: admin
Then you can find the Wireless tab and configure your new Wireless Network Name and password

Based on your post description, I am assuming that:
1. You can connect to the Internet through your 2241 Neptoia modem;
2. You can access your WRT54G V8 Linksys Wireless router @ 192.168.1.1;
3. Both 1 & 2 above could be done through a wireless connection from your PC.

Connect everything as they are supposed to be wired (printer, Print Server, modem, router etc)

Pls try:
a. Connect the Linksys wireless print server using a lan cable to the Linksys WRT54G Wireless AP/router. (Will tackle the wireless connection a bit later)
b. Reset your print server; &
c. Do a diagnostic print-out.
Instructions for b & c are in page 4 of your manual.

You need to verify that:
i. the Power indicator is contnously green
ii. the Ethernet indicator is contnously green
iii. the USB indicator is contnously green
iv. the Wireless indicator may or may not be contnously green

Pls post back with the generated diagnostic print-out before we can proceed with the other steps.

Additionally, try installing the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 direct to one of the USB ports of your PC. Use the installer/driver CD that came with it. Try using it as a regular printer. This will tell us status of the printer.

You will be able to re-install the software without the disc, all you have to do is download the driver software by following the steps below.

Step 1. Go the Linksys website.
Step 2. Hover over the Support tab and click on Linksys.
Step 3. Type in WUSB54GSC in the product field.
Step 4. Click on the first entry that is presented and this will take you to the product page.
Step 5. Click on the Downloads tab
Step 6. Select your Version, which is Ver 2 and you will be presented with options.
Step 7. Click on the Driver Download option which will allow you to download the driver program as a zip file.
Step 8. After the file is downloaded, right click and extract the files.
Step 9. Open up the extracted files folder and double-click on the Setup.exe file to start the Setup Wizard.

That is how you can re-install without access to the disc. If you need assistance with walking through the actual setup, feel free to ask another question.

first connect a straight cable from the router and computer.... then install the CD given by the linksys router.... follow the instructions as given at the time of installation.

You have to take a pen and hit the reset button, and hold in on it for about thirty seconds to minute. Be sure to re-secure your wireless internet after that, so your neighbors can't use it, by using a personal password. It is located under basic wireless setup on the router page. 192.168.1.100 is the default after the reset of linksys been pressed.

If you download them to the desktop of the laptop and burn to cd or copy to flash then you may have something going. See if they will d/l to desktop from linksys site.

1.Make a hard reset
2.Reconfigure
3.Install the latest version of firmware

First of all, I am shocked that Walmart didn't handle that for you. They are usually really good about that.

Second, I ran into the problem of not having my disc on hand so after some searching I found this page and it worked fine.

However ,you can click on the link below to get basic information onhow to configure Wireless connection on the router.

If the default user name or password provided in the link doesn't work then you will have to reset the linksys router to the FACTORY DEFAULT by pressing small "reset" button at the bottom of router all lights should go off briefly when you reset it.
After reset you can follow the steps given in the link.

you have to install the driver for it to work and i assume that is not the case as you have no cd. You may also have to use the home network connection wizard if you havent previously to share documents over your network.
