Unfortuneately you should have replaced the whole laser pickup assembly, they come pre-aligned eliminating special test equpment that would be required when single part replacements are done.
The problem with the system Philips FWD17 shows NO DISC for certain CDs which wont play. With regard to DVDs it doesnt recognise them at all. The disc spins and then stops showing NO DISC
I have replaced the lens with the same type and model SF-HD65. It still doesnt detect DVDs
Your pc is not recognising the camera or the memory inside it. Try
connecting it with sony pc suit. Make sure the pc recognises the camera
as a new device before proceeding.
Its only cd writer burner and can only that it can read dvd disc also. That is why its called combo. But burning blank dvd it can't. But if you want buy some dvdburner too.
