Sounds you have a gas issue for sure, did you recently change from nat gas to bottle gas??? is this a new purchase??? sounds as if your burning a natural gas setup on lp gas call back the installer if thats the case
We have the same black soot problem. We have had our dryer for quite a long time and never had the problem before. We have propane gas and it has always been hooked up to the propane line. We had a lot of black soot inside the dryer around and in the burner area which we cleaned out. The problem still occurs.
Black soot on inside of Maytag Performa. Always burned natural gas from new. Is this a bearing or roller wheel issue? About 5 years old and has happened within the last year. Trash it and buy new?
