Wont spin, wont drain has codes

The machine, based on the error code, is made by Frigidaire for Kenmore. Error code E20 pertains to a slow or no drain problem which can be due to a clogged/kinked drain hose, blocked drain filter/coin trap, or a broken drain pump. Hello, After looking at the User Manual for our Washer, E20 is an error code for the drain. It said that either the house drain line is clogged or the washer drain line is clogged. After my husband took the drain line off the washer, cleaned it out, we noticed that the lines had a lot of detergent build up and figured that this is probably the cause of the error code. We put the washer back together and it is working properly. We have always used the "he" detergent for the front loader and always used the proper amount; however, from now on, we will use less than the recommended amount.

E20 is not an exact error code. It's indicating a possible pump out problem. Here is a few possible causes of an E20 error code:

1. Restriction in the drain pump

2. Failed pump

3. Water not pumping out fast enough (crimped drain hose)

4. Too many suds ( too much detergent or wrong kind)

5. Pressure switch (not communicating with control board)

6. Loose wire at pressure switch

7. Loose wire at pump or control board

8. Failed control board

try cleaning out the coin trap/drain hose that is underneath the machine
this is also the error code E20 which sometimes the machine will start flashing

Frigidaire, Zanussi, AEG, & More....

EFO = Filter Blocked (low flow) and it is accessible from the bottom front of the machine.

1. there is a blockage in the filter or drain hose.takes too long to drain out.
2. over dosing of powder or liquid. again can cause an air lock in the pump which slows the drain pump down.

Check the filter and drain hose and test again. this fault will only come up at the end of a cycle.
You do not need to reset the machine to get rid of the fault code as this is automatically deleted.

Run an empty load with no detergent in an attempt to get rid of the code.

check drain pump for obstruction, (access from rear panel) pull hose boot from tub and ck basket in hose. read tech sheet for code definition while your there. have plenty of towels and wet vac ready

wont spin because the unit is not drainning water...wont spin with water in it must drain first...check drain hose for kink,,,check waste pipe for blockage...and than check pump...onthejob

It doesn't spin because it has to drain first. E20 means not draining. You'll very likely have something caught in your drain pump. If you take the two screw off at the front, very bottom of you washer you'll be able to pull down the small panel to reveal the drain pump at the right corner. if you empty all the water from your machine you can take off the spring clamp attaching the thick rubber hose from your tub to your drain pump. ( you may want to have some old towels ready ) With this off you can feel around for what's blocking the drain pump's impeller. You may want to take the screws out that secure the drain pump to the base and the other spring clamp that attaches the drain hose to the drain pump. Good luck!

Have a GLTF2940. Error code E20 and E30 came up. Will not drain and spin.
What to do?

Any E20 code means your washer doesn't drain.  More than likely there is a screw, nail, coin, bobby pin, etc locking up your pump and causing it not to drain.  Keep in mind that your washer has a 1 yr warranty but some service companys will charge for this kind of repair because it is not technically covered under warranty.
