1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

Hello - Before using the self-cleaning cycle of the appliance, remove the broiler pan and any utensils stored in the appliance. Also remove any excess spillovers in the oven cavity. Allow the oven to cool before cleaning. During the self-cleaning cycle, the outside of the wall oven can become very hot to the touch.

Typically to set the controls for a self-clean the first step is to confirm that the clock shows the correct time of the day. Press CLEAN. "---" appears in the display. Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW once. "3:00" appears in the display for a 3 hour cycle. To change to a 2 hour cycle press DOWN ARROW"2:00" appears in the display. As soon as the controls are set, the motor drive lock will begin to close automatically and the "LOCK" indicator light will flash. DO NOT open the oven door while the light is flashing (it takes about 15 seconds for the over door to lock). "CLn" will appear in the display during the Self-Clean cycle and the "LOCK" light will glow until the Self-Cleaning cycle is complete or cancelled and the oven temperature has cooled.

When the Self-Clean cycle has completed, the time of the day or "End" will appear in the display window and the "Clean" and "LOCK" light will continue to glow. Once the over has cooled down for about 1 HOUR and the "LOCK" light has gone out, the oven door can be opened. If "End" is the display and the Clean indicator light remains ON, press CLEAR/OFF. The time of the day will appear in the display.

If it becomes necessary to stop or interrupt a Self-Cleaning cycle, press CLEAR/OFF. Once the oven has cooled down for about 1 HOUR and the "LOCK" light has gone out, the oven door can be opened. Restart the Self-Clean cycle once all conditions have been corrected.

Probably, in some models both the bake and broil come on to help it heat faster and hotter. In some units the self cleaning light will not come on until a certain temperature is attained. Are you setting the start time for right now, and the stop time for 2 to 3 hours from now?

Press and turn the stop dial of the automatic oven timer clockwise to the desired stop time. Max time is 3 hours miniumum 1/12 hours. 3. Set the oven selector dial on the control panel to "Clean" 4. Set the temperature control dial to "off". If you temperature control dial has a "Clean" position, then set the dial to "Clean" instead of "Off". 5. Remove oven racks, broiler pan and broiler grid from lower oven. Close and lock the oven door by moving the latch lever as far right as it will go - into the locked position. If the lever is accidently dislodged restore it to the locked position. Otherwise, the self-cleaning process will not take place. I JUST CALLED FRIGIDAIRE AND GOT INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELF CLEANING:

1. TAKE OUT THE RACKS UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND THEM TARNISHING
2. TURN THE "SELECTOR" AND/OR "OVEN" DIALS TO THE LOCK (OR CLEAN) POSITION
3. PRESS THE "COOK TIME" BUTTON
4. SET THE CLOCK TO 2 OR 3 HOURS (I.E., "2:00" OR "3:00"), DEPENDING ON HOW DIRTY THE OVEN IS
5. PRESS "START" BUTTON
6. YOU WILL HEAR THE MOTORIZED LOCK MOVE INTO PLACE; WAIT ABOUT 30 SECONDS, THE DOOR SHOULD BE LOCKED AND CLEANING WILL BEGIN.
7. CLEANING WILL STOP AFTER THE TIME SELECTED (I.E., 2 / 3 HRS) AND THE DOOR SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY UNLOCK

Simply set the Clock and Delay Start to the current time, then set the Stop Time ahead 3 hours. For example, if it is currently 8:00 then set the Stop Time to 11:00. The lights on the console will come on and the cleaning cycle will begin. At some point during the cycle when the oven gets hot enough, the lock mechanism is "fixed" and will not release until the cycle is complete.

If “LOCKED DOOR” is flashing in the display of your range or oven, and the self-clean cycle has not been selected, follow the steps below to reset your control:

Motorized Switch

1. With the door open, locate the door jamb switch on the face of the oven. It will look like a small black post or dowel.
2. Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off, indicating that the oven believes the door is closed.
3. While you hold the door jamb switch in this position, complete the following steps.
4. Press the Clean pad, wait 10 seconds.
5. When the cycle initiates, press the clear/off or cancel pad immediately to cancel it.
6. Wait 10 seconds for the display to clear.
7. The door should unlock and there should not be a need for service.

Manual Switch

1. Press the Clean pad.
2. Close the door.
3. Slide the latch to lock the door.
4. Hit the cancel button immediately.
5. Unlock the door.
