Even when I use a medium load, the twin sink laundry tub is ready to overflow unless I stop the washing machine and start emptying. The pipe going from the laundry tub is the same exit for the kitchen sink in the floor above. The kitchen sink pipe is also the exit pipe for the disposal where it sits; so sometimes I see bits of food in the laundry tub basins below. Flooding in the laundry tub only happens when I use the washing machine.
My laundry machine is a Heavy Duty Maytag 2-speed extra capacity.

think you've already figured it out! clog could be in dw hose where it enters gd. check for kinks in hose. perhaps replace hose, if it looks funky! try running a sterilize cycle- the hot water may unclog the hose (if your machine has the option).
good luck!
