Harmony 550, TV comes on, then shuts off

On activities/watch TV, all the euipment (tv, AV recv, Directv recv) comes on, then after 15-30seconds, TV shuts off. Sound continues to come through AV recv and speakers, only TV shuts off. Just started doing this, has been working fine for three + years. Also, when turning off DVD/CD player, sometimes it will get to "goodbye" and get stuck, not shutting all the way and I have to unplug. Batteries recently replaced. Is there a "reboot " equivalent for the remote? any other ideas?

Can you test it again, and look at the remote. Does the remote flash, indicating that another command is sent that is powering off the TV?

I know it may not be this simple, but I have set up like 5 of those remotes for clients, I always have to remind them to make sure everything is off before starting from scratch trying a function.
That way they are not doing the opposite (On/Off) of what they are supposed to do.

Lost my manual, need to reprogram my Logitech hand control for replacement TIVO HDVR

Hi. Programming of the Harmony remote is done in the software, which you can download at http://logitech.com/myharmony.

You'll have to add the TiVo deivce by clicking 'Add Device', then set up an Activity for it. In the 'Activities' tab, click 'Add Activity', and select 'Watch TV (TiVo)'.

Hope that helps.

Intermittently Working Correctly with DirecTv

Update your Harmony remote control software on your PC to the latest. Go into the TV device settings. The software should recognize if there is an update to your TV's IR commands. Try the same things with the DVR.

It's also possible the TV and/or DVR are locking up due to IR commands that are being sent too quickly. The remote has a setting for the delay between commands sent to the same device as well as the delay between commands sent to different devices. Try adjusting these settings:
  1. In the Harmony remote software on your PC, click the "Devices" tab.
  2. For the "TV" device, click the "Settings" button.
  3. Click the dot next to "Adjust the delays" and click Next.
  4. Adjust the "Inter-key" and "Inter-device" delays to something higher and click Next.
  5. Follow the steps to save the changes.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for your DVR device as well.
