I have a AEG S75380 .. I would like to know how to access the thermosta... the panel is on top front of the refrigirater.. at first my freeze stoped freezing and 3 days later the fridge...after contionous fluctuations on tempressure..we believe its posibly loss of gas...but a work colleague mentioned it could be the thermostac...I cant find any tecnical guide..
The way to determine whether it's the thermostat or a refrigerant problem is to take note of when it shuts off.
If you can hear the compressor running all the time then the thermostat is fine. If the compressor shuts off before the refrigerator gets cold then it may be a thermostat problem.
Before assuming it's a 'gas' or refrigerant leak I suggest you check the condenser coils, these are copper coils of tubing usually located on the back of the unit near the ground. They need to be free of all dust and grease to work at maximum efficiency and it is recommended to clean them every 6 to 10 months. If that doesn't solve the problem then there may be a refrigerant leak. In order to legally put reclaim, recharge, or test refrigerants you need a special certification from the EPA. If you need to do so I recommend you call in a certified technician.
