I'm fairly sure this means there is some error in connecting with the screen, maybe a cable worked loose maybe the screen is dead, or maybe screen inverter or backlight dead.

It has a strange sound on boot: 1beep 3 beep 3 beep 1 beep and it doesn't show anything on screen, the harddisk is working....butI can't see anything

Check if your RAMs are properly seated on their slots and make sure if the connectors are free from dust, rust or corrosion.

I have an IBM T20 and when I start it up, the screen does not come on, don't hear hard disk working, but the fan is working. There is beeping when started - 3 beeps, then follow by 3 beeps, and then 1...

That is likely. The beeps represent an error code. You might try borrowing an external monitor plugged into your laptop to see if anything shows on that screen when it boots up.

My Thinkpad G41 does not boot up, nothing comes up

Hello

Have you tried swapping out ram modules? This would probably be the cheapest. And, a faulty ram module gives a beep code. Try it, and let me know.

Kind regards
